The Gold Coast SUNS have finalised their 2020 Leadership group for the upcoming season, with four players joining captains David Swallow and Jarrod Witts in 2020.

In an exciting day for the club, locally based, national project management company, Australasian Retail Projects were also announced as the club’s new Match Ball partner.

Touk Miller remains’ as the club’s Vice Captain and is joined by Brayden Fiorini, Alex Sexton and Sam Collins in his second year at the club.

General Manager Football Operations Jon Haines said the club had a deliberate focus to increase the club’s leadership depth in recent years.

“We feel that the leadership capability within the playing group has improved and it will continue to do so. This particular group has a thirst for learning and we are thrilled that they have been afforded the privileged opportunity to lead the playing group in 2020,” Haines said.

Second year player Sam Collins will be a new addition to the group for the year ahead after impressing with his leadership qualities in his first year at the club.

“Sam has made a significant impression in his time at the club and demonstrates all the values that we believe in. He is highly respected and we have no doubt that he will flourish in a leadership role”.

David Swallow and Jarrod Witts were confirmed as captains for the second year in a row at the club’s Season Launch event earlier this year.
