With no injuries coming out of the Round 5 match against Geelong at Great Barrier Reef, the Gold Coast SUNS have just three players on the injury list heading into Round 6.

Midfielder Hannah Dunn missed the trip to Mackay with a calf injury, but AFLW Head Physiotherapist Aaron Duffy said she was close to returning to full training with the group.

“Hannah Dunn is progressing through her rehab and is doing well,” Duffy told the Griffith University AFLW Injury Update.

“She’s running on the grass and in light drills in training.

“We’ll further integrate her into training over this week and at this stage she’s still a test for the weekend.”

Kitara Whap-Farrar has been unavailable with a knee injury but is set to re-join the group for training in the next week.

“Kitara is progressing through her rehab,” Duffy said.

“She’s out running on the grass and we’ll start to integrate her into training as well.

“At this stage we’ll aim to get her into full training next week.”
