Midfielder Hannah Dunn has been awarded the SUNS’ AFLW Coach’s Award, presented by Kool Kids Training College, after a standout debut season.

Dunn was announced as the winner during the club’s virtual 2020 AFLW Club Champion event on Tuesday night.

The award encompasses all aspects of the AFLW program and recognises the player who has made an impact on and off the field while always striving to improve.

It was decided on by SUNS AFLW Head Coach David Lake who said Dunn had done everything asked of her and more in her first full season at the highest level.

“Hannah’s a very unique person and is very easy to coach on and off the field,” Lake told SUNS Media.

“Her decisions aren’t about herself, they’re about fitting in to make the group the best it can be.

“Hannah’s behaviours helped create the framework of our program because she was so adaptable and flexible.”

Dunn was the first award recipient announced during the club’s 2020 AFLW Club Champion.

She averaged 14 disposals, two marks and six tackles over her six games during the season.
