The contract extensions keep on rolling out at the SUNS with Seb Tape today signing a deal with the club that will see him remain with the Gold Coast until the end of the 2013 season.
General Manager – Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft said it was another good sign for the club with yet another player committing to the club.
“Seb had a terrific debut season, and is a quality young man who will develop into an extremely important player for us,” Ashcroft said.
Tape was recruited to the SUNS with the 13th selection in the 2010 NAB AFL draft.
The 19-year-old who captained South Australia in the 2010 Under 18 National Championships and played 13 games in his first season of AFL football said he was looking forward to continuing his career with the SUNS.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my first season with the club and I can’t wait to get back to training in a few weeks and start our 2012 campaign,” Tape said.
Tape joins Rory Thompson, Daniel Gorringe and Dion Prestia who have all recently signed deals tying them to the club until the end of the 2013 season.
“We may be a very young but we have a strong bond and we all want to see the club build a successful team,” Tape added.
