Gold Coast SUNS defender Campbell Brown will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after fracturing his pelvis.

Brown was taken to Geelong Hospital after sustaining the injury during the first quarter of the GC SUNS match against Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

GC SUNS, General Manager - Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft said Brown would receive further assessment of the injury Melbourne this evening.

"Scans confirmed that Campbell suffered a clean fracture of his left pelvis."

"We will transfer him to Epworth Hospital this evening where he will receive further assessment and treatment," Ashcroft said.
