Metricon Stadium will be the host a unique brother double act on Saturday.

Gold Coast SUNS skipper Gary Ablett will play with his brother Nathan for the first time at the SUNS and the first time together since the 2007 AFL Grand Final.

While the Ablett brother will play together on Saturday, it will be a different story for the Tippett family.

Gold Coast SUNS, Joel Tippett will make his AFL debut against the Crows and importantly against his older brother Kurt.

Kurt Tippett is set to return for the Adelaide Crows after a three-week lay-off with hamstring problems.

The Tippett’s will be the seventh set of Queensland brothers to play AFL football, following Che, David and Donald Cockatoo-Collins, Michael and Brett Voss, Clark and Aaron Keating, Dayne and Claye Beams, David and Stephen Wearne, and Rhys and Alik Magin.

They will be the fourth brothers to actually play against each other after Che and Donald Cockatoo-Collins, the Voss’s and the Keating’s.
