The Gold Coast SUNS completed their first skills session of the 2012 season in stifling heat on the Gold Coast.
The team completed a solid two hour session, followed by a grueling afternoon in the gym and additional skills practice.
The GC SUNS playing group returned from their Christmas break last Thursday, completing a variety of tests before this morning’s skills session.
Gold Coast SUNS Coach, Guy McKenna told goldcoastfc.com.au that his team continued to work over the Christmas break.
“While on leave visiting family and friends over the Christmas break the boys completed their own individual training programs.”
“The results show the boys have continued to improve since they have returned from both our end of season break and our camp in Arizona,”
McKenna said the GC SUNS pre-season campaign will continue to gather momentum as the team prepares for its first hit out against Melbourne and the Brisbane Lions in the Round 1 of the NAB Cup to be played at Metricon Stadium on Saturday February 25, at 6.10pm.
The Gold Coast SUNS invite all members and supporters to the GC SUNS Open Beach session at Surfers Paradise from 8:30am on Saturday morning.
