The Gold Coast SUNS have secured the services of Matthew Warnock on the final day of the exchange period.
In a three-way deal that involves clubs exchanging draft selections and a Queensland Zone selected player, the GC SUNS gain the 27-year-old defender who has played 55 games with Melbourne since making his debut in 2006.
General Manager- Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft said Warnock will add valuable experience to the GC SUNS backline.
“Matthew is an experienced defender who has successfully played on some of the best forwards in the game.”
“We believe he will play a significant role with our young team in 2011.”

- Brisbane exchange rd2 pick (34) to GC Suns for Dayne Zorko (Qld Zone) and On-Traded rd2 pick (47).
- Brisbane Lions exchange Melbourne its rd 3 pick (52).
- Melbourne trade Matthew Warnock to the GC SUNS.
