Gold Coast SUNS coach Guy McKenna has some selection headaches ahead of Saturday's match against Adelaide, but captain Gary Ablett will be fit to play and Campbell Brown will come straight back into the side after a four-week suspension.
Ablett copped bumps to both his knee and ribs in Saturday night's eight-point win over the Brisbane Lions and played under duress for much of the night.
However, McKenna said the star midfielder was "fine but obviously very sore" and would take on the Crows.
Brown has completed his suspension for two separate incidents in the round three loss to the Western Bulldogs, and McKenna said the GC SUNS vice-captain now had to earn the respect of his teammates after apologising to the playing group.
"He will now have this game and the rest of the season to earn back that trust," McKenna said of Brown.
"He apologised to the boys for letting himself down and the group down, so he's fairly remorseful to the group.
"We don't have a lot of senior players and when a senior player does that (gets suspended), it's hard to take.
"He's taken one step in that redemption, and his second step will come this weekend."
McKenna said defender Seb Tape, who was rested from the win over the Brisbane Lions, would come back in, while promising centre half forward Charlie Dixon (calf) was also expected to be fit.
With Brown and Tape coming back into the defensive half, rugby league convert Karmichael Hunt may be due for a rest.
McKenna has had a policy of resting and rotating his new players throughout the first six matches, and without a game off so far, this week might be the chance to spell Hunt.
The GC SUNS coach said he was pleased with the recent signs from the 24-year-old.
"Last two weeks he’s actually got through without cramps which is a good sign, and he’s getting a taste of playing on various opponents," he said.
"Physically he’s getting through, but he showed some signs on the weekend he’s getting involved on the offensive side of things."
Despite the fine debut of marking forward Tom Lynch and the impressive signs shown by fellow tall debutant Sam Day last Saturday, McKenna said he's likely to add another tall in Dixon to this weekend's 22.
"I will probably work on the theory we will work better with him in," McKenna said.
