Midfielder Josh Caddy is looking forward to starting pre-season training with the Gold Coast SUNS.

The 19-year-old told goldcoastfc.com.au that he would return to the coast to start pre-season training with his teammates next Monday.

“I’m really looking forward to heading back up to the Gold Coast and getting into pre-season training with the boys,” Caddy said on Monday afternoon.

Caddy admitted that the last month and in particular the past couple of days of the exchange period had been difficult, however said he was committed to the GC SUNS.

“It has been a tough couple of weeks, but I am thankful that the club explored the options that my manager and I asked and I completely understand that the club wasn’t in a position to reach an acceptable exchange.”

“I am more than comfortable playing with the SUNS and I’m looking forward to getting back to the club to start preparing for 2012.”

The Gold Coast SUNS pre-season training campaign will get underway on Monday October 24.
