Trent McKenzie:
Melbourne at the MCG poses a great opportunity for the SUNS on Sunday.
Bluey always stresses to us to prepare for each game the same and that is what we are going to do.
The fact they have been under pressure in the media is of no concern to us.
It is also what we have to expect the Demons to do.
Melbourne have barely been out of the headlines this week and I've been asked if I think it will make them come out breathing fire.
I'm not sure, but I do know we can't let that worry us.
Not because of what the Demons are going through but because of what we have achieved over the past month or so.
We have to concentrate on what we have to get right and on the mindset we take into the game and that should be that we have an opportunity to get four points.
We've had a win and made some decent improvements and our confidence as a group is growing.
All along we have felt that if we played our best footy we would be a chance of winning games. The difference now is that we are starting to play our best footy for longer.
That means we are giving ourselves a greater chance of success.
No one was happy with last week's result but we don't see it as a step backwards. The Swans showed why they are the best side in the competition and we learned a lot from that.
The key now is to try to implement what they did to us against Melbourne.
And the main thing is pressure and skill execution. When we had the ball Sydney were relentless and when they had it they were clinical. That is how we want to play on Sunday.
It is going to be a great weekend.
We're going as a group to the MCG on Friday night to watch Hawthorn and Geelong. In addition to enjoying what should be a great contest between two benchmark teams, Bluey has asked us to watch closely the Hawthorn player who is likely to be our opponent in a couple of weeks time and learn how they go about their footy and what makes them so good.
Then it is back to the G on Sunday to play and it is always a special occasion running out onto the home of footy.
It's the kind of assignment I enjoy.
Although the buzz will never go away, it is important we enjoy it during the warm-up and then forget about where we are and just concentrate on the job at hand.
Because hopefully, one day soon, we'll be playing there in September.
