Voting is now open for the Austworld Player of the Round after the Round 9 match against GWS at Metricon Stadium.

It was a disappointing result for SUNS members and fans but there were some players who battled hard until the final siren.

Key defender Sam Collins was fierce in the backline, competing hard to limit his direct opponent to two goals while also having 11 disposals, five marks and seven tackles of his own.

Jack Lukosius provided drive out of defence with a game-high 564 metres gained from a team-high 19 disposals and four marks.

Co-captain Jarrod Witts was strong in the ruck with 23 hitouts while Touk Miller had 15 disposals and six tackles in the midfield.

In his 50th AFL match, Ben Ainsworth kicked a goal and contributed with 14 disposals and nine marks.

Brandon Ellis (16 disposals), Jack Bowes (14) and Hugh Greenwood (14, six clearances) were also prominent for the SUNS.

Who do you think should be the Austworld Player of the Round?
