It was a dominant game by the SUNS in Round 2 against North Melbourne, with six players recording 100+ scores in AFL Fantasy

While last week it was the defenders who scored big, this time it was the midfielders who saw plenty of action and could be options for your AFL Fantasy team heading into Round 3

Touk Miller (MID - $751k)

Miller was dominant against the Kangaroos, registering the SUNS’ highest Fantasy score for the match with 130. His score consisted of 31 disposals, five marks and eight tackles – an even contribution from the reliable vice-captain.

With a number of premium midfielders struggling through the first two rounds of the season, Miller presents as a left-field option who could present value at his current price tag of $751k. He’s a worthwhile free agent acquisition in Draft formats, still available in 20% of leagues.

Noah Anderson (MID – 581k)

As flagged by Senior Coach Stuart Dew mid-week, Anderson was the major beneficiary of Matt Rowell’s absence through injury, receiving more minutes as an inside midfielder. He made an immediate impact, with a huge score of 120 in Round 2. A career-high 35 disposals and nine marks were the major drivers of his score.

Priced at just under $600k, Anderson should continue to get maximum opportunity for high Fantasy scores and is set to continue to rise in price. He currently has 3% ownership in Fantasy Classic and with a breakeven of just 55, is projected to go up another $15k this week. He’s a mid-priced option to jump to if you are strapped for cash and is going to be someone you can sell for a higher price down the track.

Jarrod Witts (RUC - $634k)

With Fantasy coaches facing a dilemma in the ruck department at the moment, Jarrod Witts continues to deliver and will be a popular option this week. Against North Melbourne, he won the ruck battle against Todd Goldstein and finished with 110 points, thanks to 19 disposals, 33 hitouts, three marks and four tackles.

Witts is expected to have even more opportunity this week, with backup ruck Sam Day sidelined with a knee injury. Witts has recorded 78% time on ground from his two games but that number is likely to rise in Round 3. At $634k, he’s a reasonably-priced, reliable option with other rucks across the competition leaking cash and his ownership rate of 9% is sure to continue to rise.
