“Matt’s done really well with his rehab and has been training with the group for the last couple of weeks,” SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.

“He’ll train on Wednesday and be available for selection on the weekend which is really good news for Matt.”

Key forward Sam Day has also been recovering from a knee injury and is another who has put his hand up for selection in Round 13.

“Sam’s going great as well. He’s been pretty similar to Matt all the way through and he’s been training with the group as well for the last couple of weeks,” Bull said.

“He’ll train on Wednesday as well and be available too.”

Breakout defender Jack Bowes sustained a hamstring injury in Round 9’s QClash but has recovered fully and will also be available this weekend.

“Jack was going really well, he probably would have been available last week when the bye was on so he’s been training with the group as well and he’ll train on Wednesday too,” Bull said.

The SUNS travel to Perth on Thursday ahead of the match against Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
