UPDATE 26 JUNE: Unfortunately our Round 11 VFL clash with Southport has been postponed due to new Queensland Government COVID-19 restrictions. A new date and time for the fixture will be communicated once finalised.

The SUNS will have 18 AFL-listed players for Saturday’s VFL clash against ladder-leaders Southport at the Metricon Stadium Council Training Oval.

Chris Burgess returns to the line-up after being omitted from the AFL side, however Ben Ainsworth, Josh Corbett and Jeremy Sharp have all been rewarded with call-ups to the AFL squad this weekend.

After making his long-awaited debut in SUNS colours last week, 2020 draftee Elijah Hollands will get his first taste of a SUNS home game on Saturday, as will mid-season draftee ruckman Ned Moyle.

As reported in the Qscan Injury Update earlier this week, Jordan Murdoch will be unavailable to take on the Sharks after sustaining a calf injury in last week’s win over Aspley.

The match against Southport gets underway at 11.00am and will be live-streamed via the Gold Coast SUNS YouTube channel.
