The Gold Coast SUNS have today been advised by the AFL the club’s Round 16 fixture against Richmond has been moved to Marvel Stadium.

The match was originally fixtured to be played at Metricon Stadium on Thursday night, but the AFL has made the decision to move the match to Victoria due to the announcement parts of Queensland would enter a three-day lockdown from 6pm Tuesday night.

Earlier today the SUNS caught a chartered flight out of Queensland into Victoria as the AFL continues to follow advice from government and health officials.

The match against Richmond will remain in the same timeslot at 7:20pm on Thursday.

The SUNS preparations for the match will continue and the club will remain flexible moving forwards, to ensure the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership continues to progress.

More information for members and fans wanting to attend the game in Melbourne will be communicated once finalised.
