The Gold Coast SUNS have reached a membership milestone ahead of this Saturday’s blockbuster Round 16 clash against Collingwood at Heritage Bank Stadium.

For the second consecutive season, the club’s official membership tally has surpassed 20,000 and is on track to break the club record of 21,422 members, set in 2022.

It’s a significant milestone for the SUNS who have recorded year-on-year membership increases in its last three seasons.

Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans says it’s fantastic to see support continuing to grow on the Gold Coast and across Australia.

“To reach 20,000 members for just the second time is a significant milestone for the club. To all our members on the Gold Coast, throughout Queensland and right across Australia, we thank you for your support,” Evans said.

“Our mission as a club continues to inspire people to become a part of the SUNS’ extraordinary journey.

“With nine rounds to go in 2023, we are charging towards yet another club membership record and are looking forward to seeing plenty of red and gold in the stands, at Heritage Bank Stadium and interstate.”

The Gold Coast SUNS will continue its push towards a fourth consecutive membership record with mid-year memberships, guaranteeing entry to remaining home matches at Heritage Bank Stadium, now on sale.

The SUNS are also offering Mates Rates offers at remaining home matches (excluding Round 16 v Collingwood) with 15 tickets able to be redeemed in any configuration across Rounds 18, 20 and 23. Reduced from $309 to $199, it presents great value at just over $13 per ticket.

A significant number of SUNS members will be in attendance at Heritage Bank Stadium this Saturday night with limited tickets remaining for the clash against Collingwood. As announced last week, Premium Hospitality tickets are officially sold out for the match, on the back of tremendous growth in seasonal hospitality memberships in 2023.

The growth in membership correlates with strong junior participation numbers across the state with Queensland currently the #1 state for Auskick participation.
