The Gold Coast SUNS have welcomed Oscar Adams and Caleb Lewis to the club, with the pair joining the SUNS rookie list after being selected in the 2025 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

Adams joined the SUNS with Pick 7, before Lewis followed with Pick 14 to finalise the club’s list for the remainder of 2025.

Adams is a key defender who returns to the AFL system after previously being listed with St Kilda from 2022-23.

Most recently the 21-year-old has played with Glenelg in the SANFL, and was a driving force in the club’s 2024 SANFL Premiership team.

Standing at 198cm, Lewis has showcased his versatility across all three lines during his junior career.

Playing for Casey Demons in the VFL and Dingley at local level, the 21-year-old has excelled at both ends of the ground and is known for his aerial power, last year booting 66 goals for Dingley.

SUNS National Recruiting Manager Kall Burns said the club was pleased to land two young and exciting prospects.

"We identified a need to add depth to our key position stocks after some long-term injuries this year, and have been impressed by the seasons Oscar and Caleb have compiled this year,” Burns said.

“We expect Oscar and Caleb to come straight in and train with the main group tomorrow, to begin familiarising themselves with the club and their new teammates.”

The SUNS currently have two other mid-season draftees on its list, with John Noble and Ned Moyle following the same pathway as Lewis and Adams.

Prior to the Draft, the SUNS had opened two list spots due to the long-term injuries to key position players Charlie Ballard and Elliott Himmelberg.
