Young Gold Coast SUNS star Tom Lynch has put pen to paper, re-signing with the club until the end of the 2014 season.
Lynch, who played 13 games in 2011 after making his debut in Round 7 said he was excited to re-sign with the club.
“It’s great to sign with the club for the next few seasons.”
“I’m really enjoying playing with my teammates and being part of the Gold Coast SUNS and believe together we will enjoy success in the future.”
The Victorian-bred tall, arguably had the biggest impact of the young GC SUNS forwards first up booting 15 goals, including kicking multiple goals on five occasions.
Standing at 199cm and 91kg, Lynch is a promising size and, matched with his running capacity, is capable of playing anywhere in the forward half.
General Manager – Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, said “Tom is and elite young player and is an exciting prospect for us going forward.”
“We see Tom forming an integral part of our forward line and is very much a part of our long-term planning and future.”
Lynch joins a growing list of SUNS stars who have re-signed following the end of the 2011 season, including, Sam Day, Trent McKenzie, Brandon Matera, Rory Thompson and Jacob Gillbee.
