Several SUNS are pushing for a spot on Rhyce Shaw’s list ahead of Saturday’s AFLW QClash at People First Stadium.
Katie Lynch, Darcie Davies and Sienna McMullen all returned from Round 7’s scrimmage match unscathed and will be available for selection.
While Clara Fitzpatrick left the field late in the final term with a hand injury, her availability for Round 8’s QClash is yet to be confirmed.
“Clara’s injury is undergoing further investigation. We will be able to confirm if she is available for selection in the coming days,” Gold Coast SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Jasmine Herlihy said.
Taya Oliver presented delayed concussion symptoms on Friday and has now entered concussion protocols along with Jac Dupuy. The pair will be unavailable for the short-term.
Claudia Whitfort has been dealt an injury blow and is expected to miss several weeks of football.
"Claudia was ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury and will undertake an extended period of rehabilitation,” Herlihy shared.
