The Gold Coast SUNS have completed a swap of draft picks with Richmond.
The SUNS will receive the Tigers’ Pick 4 and Pick 22 while parting with Pick 1, Pick 56 and a future third round selection in return.
Gold Coast SUNS AFLW Recruiting Officer Thomas Waldron says the trade aligns with the club’s strategy ahead of this month’s Telstra AFLW Draft.
“This trade allows us to hold a selection at the top of the draft order whilst also bolstering our hand with the addition of a second-round selection,” Waldron said.
The SUNS currently hold Picks 4, 19, 20, 22 and 38 heading into the Telstra AFLW Draft on Monday, December 15.
The AFLW Trade Period continues until Wednesday, December 10.
