Ethan Read has kicked off the Gold Coast SUNS’ new year in fine form, taking out his first 2km time trial on a humid Saturday morning.

The 202cm young SUN left nothing in the tank, finishing alongside a number of players to record personal bests at the Griffith University track.

Crossing the line within mere moments were SUNS vice-captain Touk Miller and skipper Noah Anderson.

StreetSmarts SUNS Academy products Leo Lombard and Zeke Uwland closely followed to finish among the top five again, just seven weeks since the last trial for first to fourth year players.

The Gold Coast SUNS squad resume pre-season at the Austworld Centre on Monday with sights set on the Opening Round clash against Geelong.

Don’t miss out! Secure your seats under the lights at People First Stadium on Friday March 6th with a SUNS Membership.
