SUNS young gun Bailey Humphrey is in the mix to return to AFL action in Saturday’s Round 2 clash against Richmond at the MCG.

Humphrey missed the weekend’s match against the Eagles with hamstring tightness with Damien Hardwick saying post-match that ‘a conservative approach’ was taken with the young forward.

“Bailey reported tightness in him hamstring and the decision was made it would be best to manage him last weekend,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Andrew Weller said.

“He will train fully this week and a decision on his availability will be made closer to game day."

The SUNS have no fresh injury concerns from the weekend’s game across its list, with key defender Charlie Ballard earning further valuable game time in the VFL.

“Charlie has importantly got a couple of matches under his belt in the VFL now and is expected to be in the mix for AFL selection in the coming weeks,” Weller added.
