The Gold Coast SUNS have a Qscan Injury Update heading into its first bye of the season.
 
As confirmed earlier in the week, Christian Petracca will be unavailable in the medium term after sustaining a hamstring injury in Sunday’s win over Richmond.
 
Fellow midfielder Matt Rowell is progressing well in his rehabilitation from a finger injury suffered in AFL Origin.
 
“Matt is progressing well through his rehabilitation and continues to take steps forward. We will continue to monitor his progress throughout the bye period in an effort to get him back to full training,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Andrew Weller said.
 
Cooper Bell has also entered concussion protocols following a collision late in the VFL Round 1 match on Sunday.
