The Gold Coast SUNS can provide updates on several players ahead of Saturday’s clash against North Melbourne.
Ethan Read is undertaking a period of rehabilitation after suffering a PCL injury in Round 9, and is expected to be available in the medium-term.
"As Ethan progresses through his rehabilitation, a more definitive timeline will be confirmed on his return to play, however he will miss at least a month,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Andrew Weller said.
Midfielder Alex Davies will consult with specialists after also missing the SUNS’ second Top End clash.
“Alex suffered a mid foot sprain in the GWS game which was aggravated in the game against St Kilda,” Weller added.
"We will consult with specialists and Alex in the coming days to devise a rehabilitation plan and clarify a timeline on his return.”
Lachie Weller will be ruled out for the short-term after sustaining a hamstring injury against Yartapuulti alongside Will Graham who entered concussion protocols following a collision in the second term.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will also join the pair on the sidelines for the short-term after an ankle injury suffered in the final drill at Captain’s Run resulted in the forward being excluded late last Friday night.
“Jamarra did his ankle at the end of training on Thursday. He pushed and did everything he could to get up and try and play but it wouldn’t have been the right thing to push him out there,” Senior Coach Damien Hardwick told media on Friday.
Ben Long will be a test to return to action for the upcoming Sir Doug Nicholls Round match after missing the SUNS' 10th consecutive win in Darwin with an ankle injury.
Jy Farrar and Jake Rogers are progressing in recovery with Rogers expected to be available for selection after the Round 12 bye.
