Versatile midfielder Beau Addinsall will become the Gold Coast SUNS’ third AFL debutant of the season this Friday night.
Senior Coach Damien Hardwick announced to the playing group this morning that Addinsall will be named in the side to face Hawthorn under Friday night lights at People First Stadium.
He becomes the third product of both the StreetSmarts SUNS Academy and Burleigh Bombers to earn a debut in 2026, joining fellow junior teammates Zeke Uwland (Opening Round debut) and Jai Murray (Round 13 debut).
Addinsall joined the SUNS with Pick 18 in the 2025 AFL Draft following an impressive draft year. Known for his elite aerobic capacity and ball winning capabilities, he averaged 32 disposals to go with seven clearances throughout his top-age Talent League campaign.
He was also a member of the AFL Academy and represented the Allies at last year’s Under 18 National Championships.
In 2026, he’s overcome an injury interrupted start to his campaign, averaging 23 disposals in seven VFL matches.
Hardwick also confirmed on Wednesday morning that club veteran Nick Holman will be included for his 150th AFL match on Friday night.
The final team for Friday night’s clash at home will be confirmed on Thursday evening.
