The Gold Coast SUNS have inducted its 2026 life members at Saturday’s Club Champion awards night at The Star Gold Coast.
After reaching 150 AFL matches for the club in 2026, captain Noah Anderson, vice-captain Sam Collins and leadership group member Wil Powell have all received Gold Coast SUNS life membership.
Anderson was drafted to the club with Pick 2 in the 2019 AFL Draft and has been one of the club’s most consistent contributors throughout his tenure, missing just five matches since his debut. The 2024 Club Champion, who is the club’s youngest AFL captain, qualified for life membership in the Round 23 loss against Brisbane.
Powell too qualified for life membership in Round 23. Drafted two years prior to his captain, the 27-year-old has battled several serious injuries across the journey and has earned a position in the SUNS leadership group in the last two seasons.
One of just three multiple Club Champion recipients, Collins is one of the most respected figures at the Gold Coast SUNS having held his position as vice-captain for the last six seasons. He qualified for SUNS life membership with his 150th match for the club in Round 16 against Fremantle.
The trio were also joined by foundation staff members Kimberley Beinke and Barry Rigby and SUNS board member Simon Bennett in receiving Gold Coast SUNS life membership on Saturday night.
