1. SEE OUR NEW RECRUITS IN ACTION AT HOME AND CELEBRATE HARBROW’S MILESTONE

Prized recruit Nick Malceski and Mitch Hallahan are sure to line-up against St Kilda with draftees Touk Miller, Jarrod Garlett and rookie revelation Adam Saad also set to play their second game for the club.

Revered leader, Jarrod Harbrow will reach the 150 game milestone. Harbow is the games record holder at Metricon Stadium with a tally of 79 matches next to his name.

2. WE’RE GOING TO KICK-OFF OUR FIRST HOME GAME WITH A BANG!

Our season opening home game will feature special pre-match entertainment, including pyrotechnics, on-field entertainment and the GC SUNS trumpet man!

3. A BRAND NEW KIDS ZONE

Located in the Northern Plaza, our NEW Kids Zone will feature heaps of kids’ activities, including the Woolworths AFL Playground, roving entertainment and MUCH MORE.

There will also be a number of food and beverage outlets for parents to sit and relax whilst watching the kids run wild.

A bulkier (after a big pre-season) Sunny Ray will also be floating around, performing a number of new and exciting tricks.

4. MEMBER GIVEAWAYS AND REVAMPED MEMBERS LIGHT TOWER BAR

Where would we be without our members! So to acknowledge their support, we will be giving away a number of giveaways to those members in attendance. This includes the opportunity for a junior member to run out with the team, raise the flag, participate in a guard of honour on-field and WIN the Huawei match ball at the end of the game.

We have also revamped the Members Light Tower Bar for our 11-Game members (over 18 years) making it the perfect meeting point for members before, during and after all of our home games!

5. GOLD COASTER BOBBY ALU PERFORMING LIVE IN THE LIPTON ICE TEA CHILL ZONE

Bobby Alu, an accomplished songwriter & travelling musician born on the Gold Coast will be performing pre-game and half time on the Lipton Ice Tea Chill Zone sound stage. 

Be sure to expect a fresh, simple sound from a band that grooves like Withers, moves like Marley, charms like Harper but smooth like Fat Freddys.

6. FINAL SIREN ENTERTAINMENT

To thank those for coming to the game, our players will finish the game by handing out signed footy’s to those lined up along the fence line around the ground.

Then after the second final siren, everyone can test out their own skills by being allowed to participate in the United Petroleum Kick-to-Kick on the main field (weather depending).

The official SUNS Shop (located inside gate 3) and our merchandise outlets (located around the ground) have all your needs covered to show your support for the Gold Coast SUNS in 2015.

Our first home game not only presents the perfect opportunity for you to be one of the first to wear the 2015 BLK but for you to also stock up on your RED and GOLD merchandise for the season!

8. FREE TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE GAME

To save the hassle of getting to and from the match, all GC SUNS members and ticket holders can travel FREE with TransLink to and from the event on scheduled Surfside bus, Queensland Rail and G:Link services four hours prior to the game and for four hours after the final siren (conditions apply).

9. HEAR OUR ‘VOICE OF THE GC SUNS’ WINNER

Get to the game early (gates open 5:30pm) for all the SUNS TV action, and hear our ‘Voice of the GC SUNS’ winner - Adam ‘DJ Tallie’ Thornley in action.

Thornley has a wealth of experience as a MC and public speaker at live events, covering a variety of high-profile events including the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, Gold Coast Blaze, the Color Run Australia/New Zealand and the 2015 Netball World Cup.
