The AFL held its annual W Awards event on Tuesday night, with Carlton’s Maddy Prespakis taking out the competition’s highest individual honour.

The NAB AFLW Rising Star Award was also announced, won by Western Bulldogs’ Isabel Huntington with 34 votes.

SUNS forward Kalinda Howarth featured prominently in the Rising Star voting, finishing third on 24 votes.

Four SUNS polled votes in the AFLW Best and Fairest count, with Howarth, Hannah Dunn and Kate Surman all finishing equal-first for the club with four votes.

Jamie Stanton also featured with two votes in Round 5.
