The SUNS head into Round 2 of the 2020 AFL season with a number of players available for selection who missed the opening match against Port Adelaide in March.

There could be multiple changes on the cards, with at least two confirmed in Brandon Ellis (injury) and David Swallow (suspension) set to miss the match on Saturday night.

Alex Sexton should come back into the side after a hamstring injury saw him miss Round 1, with the dynamic forward kicking four goals in last Friday’s match simulation.

Wil Powell is one who has overcome a pre-season knee injury to put his hand up for the vacant wing position after also impressing on Friday.

He’ll likely be in a battle with housemate Jeremy Sharp who is pressing to make his AFL debut after playing in the Marsh Community Series but missed out on Round 1 selection.

The backline could be set for a significant injection with Charlie Ballard fit again after recovering from a shoulder injury, along with Jack Hombsch who has recovered from a punctured lung.

Veterans Pearce Hanley and Jarrod Harbrow are also back to full fitness and played full game-time in the match simulation on Friday.

Sam Flanders has been touted as another potential debutant after some impressive pre-season form, while Izak Rankine will have to wait before making his debut.

Meanwhile Peter Wright was an emergency in Round 1 and could provide some added firepower in the forward line if required.

Who do you think is in the mix?
