The Gold Coast SUNS remain in the hunt for selection one in the 2011, mini-draft after the AFL rejected a proposed multi-club trade that would have seen highly rated Western Australian 17-year-old Jaeger O'Meara land at Greater Western Sydney.

General Manager – Football Operations says the SUNS have and offer on the table.

"We’ve got an offer on the table to the Giants," Ashcroft told Trade Week Radio.

"I think a number of other clubs have done similar, but I guess with the ruling that the AFL handed down yesterday I guess we’re back in the game and we’ll wait and see."

Ashcroft confirmed the GC SUNS original offer for the first selection in the mini-draft stood despite the developments.

"We’ve also come to a point where there’s a ceiling for us as well. So we’ve put in the best offer we think we can and whether it’s good enough for the Giants to give us pick No.1, well we’ll wait and see."
