Gold Coast SUNS CEO, Travis Auld said it was a great result for the club to play additional matches at Metricon Stadium.

"We are thrilled to be guaranteed at least two games at Metricon Stadium during the NAB Cup series. The triangular series proved to be a great success for fans last year and we are really pleased that our community will get to see the new format live this year. We look forward to welcoming both Melbourne and the Lions to Metricon Stadium for the first time."

"We are also looking forward to taking on the reigning premiers Geelong in round 2 in our first Friday night match at Metricon."

The 2012 AFL home and away fixture will be released on Friday.
