The Prestia family have been Demons fans for generations and this weekend, the game that unites the nation will divide a household.
Dion, himself a Melbourne supporter before being drafted to the Gold Coast SUNS is confident the Gold Coasters can get the job done against Melbourne, but not so confident that his dad will be cheering him on.
"My whole family is so I think my dad will probably be supporting the D’s again on the weekend."
When asked how his father would handle his son playing a lead role in the D’s demise?
He’s used to disappointment lately, especially growing up.
“You always want to support the team who you have supported for eighteen years have a win and that, but hopefully Dad wont be disappointed another week.”

For the Gold Coast SUNS who have been in encouraging form over the past month, Sunday’s mid afternoon match provides them with a genuine opportunity to register an historic win on the MCG.
'"Back to Melbourne where I grew up and hopefully we will come away with a good result on the weekend and it’s always god to get back to the MCG, it’s the home of football so hope we have a good game."
Every week we think we can, hope we are a good chance of winning, even last weekend against the Swans, they are probably the best team in the comp and we thought we were a chance so yeah it’s a good opportunity against Melbourne and hopefully the boys can perform travelling interstate.Questioned on his own form as the GC SUNS completed a recovery session at Miami pool, Prestia was more interested in discussing what the group had learnt from the weekends clash with the ladder leading Sydney Swans, lessons that they hoped to take into Sundays round nineteen encounter.
“Just the way they were able to organise and challenge each other on the field shows why they have been such a good team for such a long time.”

“I’m pretty happy with how I am going at the moment, of course getting an injury and missing five weeks was disappointing, but yeah there has been a lot of progress compared to last year.”
Tune in on Sunday morning to watch SUNS TV hosted by Jess Skarratt scheduled for 9:30am on 7Mate, Prime7 or on our official YouTube channel.
