The Gold Coast SUNS are pleased to welcome 100% Indigenous procurement and education company, Supply Aus, as an Official Partner for the next two-years.
Gold Coast SUNS CEO Mark Evans said it was another milestone occasion for the club, being the first partnership with an 100% Indigenous Company.
“We are delighted to partner with the team at Supply Aus to help grow their business footprint both here in Queensland and nationally through broadcast exposure on match days and broader club commercial communications,” Evans said.
“It’s also fitting to make this announcement ahead of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, which celebrates past and current indigenous players.
“The club has a long standing commitment to advancing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander agenda, supporting members of our community, Indigenous owned businesses and to provide a culturally safe environment for our talented AFLW and AFL players of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent."
Supply Aus CEO Adam Williams said it was a significant decision for an Indigenous company to partner with an AFL Club, but one which provides Supply Aus with brand awareness and access to GC SUNS' growing commercial network.
“We’ve valued our connection with the SUNS since November and look forward to working with them and the broader SUNS Partner network to share what we do daily for large and small business,” Williams said.
“We’re an innovative procurement business that sources a wide range of high-quality safety and business consumables, whilst also providing Indigenous leadership education and awareness programs for businesses and RAP consultation.
“We’re a small business with large aspirations and capabilities, most recently we were able to source and supply over 300,000 litres of hand sanitiser to Woolworths Group to keep its retail store teams and customers safe during COVID-19.”
