In a nail-bitter that came down to the wire at Mineral Resources Park, the SUNS have lost to the Eagles by one point.

The effort and intensity from across the ground was unquestionable today, with many making a case to be the Round 5 Tribal SV Performance Player of the Round.

Alison Drennan led from the front with 14 disposals, a team high 11 tackles and 4 clearances for the match. She’s been a consistent performer in the SUNS engine room across all five rounds this season.

Another who was clearly looking to make an impact on the game was Madison Levi. The 18-year old is making a name for herself in her first season as a tough tackler who is always ready to compete.

Jamie Stanton is never far from the action, and today’s match was no different. She finished the game with 5 score involvements and a goal to her name. It was another intense performance from the reigning Club Champion, who spent 100% of the game on the field.

In her first game of the year, Sally Riley demonstrated her years of experience and calm composure across both the forward and defensive 50s.

Lauren Ahrens was yet again a pillar in defence, finishing the game with 11 intercept marks and quashing numerous Eagles attempts on goal.

Lucy Single looked to attack the game at every opportunity and had some eye-catching moments as she bursted her way through packs all day.
