The Gold Coast SUNS can provide updates on several players ahead of Sunday's clash against Essendon.

Co-captain Lucy Single and young SUN Mikayla Nurse will be unavailable for selection, following a late collision in Saturday’s win over Collingwood.

“Lucy entered concussion protocols on Saturday evening and is progressing well,” GC SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Angela Flack said.

“Mikayla has suffered a fractured nose in addition to fracturing her right hand. She will undergo surgery in the coming days, and subsequently be unavailable for a number of weeks while she recovers."

SUNS defender Charlotte Wilson continues to progress well in her rehabilitation from a foot injury and is targeting a return in the medium term.
