A tall defender originally from Flynn in the ACT’s Belconnen district, Bell was a member of the GWS Giants Academy and joined the SUNS after the Giants did not match the bid in the 2024 National Draft. In his first season on the Gold Coast, the 199-cm recruit showed positive signs across 14 VFL games, averaging 8.6 disposals and 3.5 marks mainly in the back half. Took seven marks in the last game to help beat the club who passed on him and had six grabs and 13 touches in a win over a high-flying Casey Demons in Round 14. With good speed, athleticism and ball-handling skills, the young prospect will be eyeing an extension at the end of the season.
