A slick Gold Coast SUNS outfit has defeated the Northern Bullants at Metricon Stadium this afternoon.

The SUNS overcame a sluggish start to soundly beat the Bullants 20.11 (131) to 11.10 (76).

Consistent pressure around the contest and clean hands in the air was the kay difference between the two sides throughout the game.

Josh Corbett slotted five goals as he was one of five multiple goal-kickers for the SUNS in their 55-point win.

Another of the multiple goal kickers, Malcolm Rosas Jnr was instrumental with three goals, 20 disposals and four clearances in a complete performance.

Returning from injury, Connor Budarick showed his class as he marshalled the troops from half-back and collected 22 disposals himself.

Jy Farrar was a picture of consistency as he continually thwarted potent scoring shots for the Bullants, having five of his 10 marks in the second quarter.

Hewago Paul Oea was lively throughout the contest with his run and carry and provided plenty of energy from the wing with 18 disposals and 11 marks.

James Tsitas had 26 disposals in a team high, while Oleg Markov, Jez McLennan and Elijah Hollands were influential with their contributions off half-back and through the middle of the ground.

Draftee Mac Andrew looked at home in the back half, crashing packs and linking up players in transition, along with SUNS VFL Listed player Morgan Ferres who had three goals.

Helping the Suns dominance in the centre of the ground was ruckman Ned Moyle who had 44 hitouts for the match.

Sam Day and Matt Conroy also made successful returns from injury in what was a strong team performance across the board.
