Round 2 of the Smithy’s VFL Competition see’s the SUNS head to Blacktown International Sportspark in Sydney to take on the Sydney Swans.

Coming off a 55-point victory in Round 1 against the Bullants, a young SUNS side will be looking forward to taking on the Swans who were also impressive victors in the opening round against Footscray.

Charlie Constable will make his return from a groin injury to mark his first official appearance as a Gold Coast SUN.

Constable has been named alongside James Tsitas, Elijah Hollands and Ned Moyle in he centre square.

Moyle, fresh off the back of signing a two-year extension with the club, will be looking to back up an impressive season opener last week in which he won 44 hit outs and five clearances of his own.

Connor Budarick showed his class when returning from an ACL injury last week and will be looking to continue to build his game up.

The SUNS will have to be aware of a couple of Swans players who performed strongly in Round 1, Ryan Clarke and Lewis Taylor both had 38 disposals with Taylor also racking up 19 marks and seven clearances.

James Bell also had 31 touches and nine tackles, while Joel Amartey, Ben Ronke and Callum Sinclair all kicked three goals apiece.

It will prove a great test for the SUNS who will line up with 18 listed players and five top ups.

Centre Bounce is 7:05pm local time at Blacktown International Sportspark.
