The Gold Coast SUNS AFLW squad have today returned for day one of pre-season ahead of the 2023 NAB AFLW competition kicking off.

The Gold Coast SUNS AFLW squad have today returned for day one of pre-season ahead of the 2023 NAB AFLW competition kicking off.

It will be a 13-week build into the new season, with Cameron Joyce’s side eager to continue its climb up the AFLW ladder.

There will be eight new faces joining the SUNS in 2023; Maddy Brancatisano (Sign & Trade, Richmond), Jordan Membrey (Sign & Trade, Collingwood), Ella Maurer (Sign & Trade, North Melbourne), Clara Fitzpatrick (Sign & Trade, St Kilda), Niamh McLaughlin(Ireland), Cara McCrossan (Supplementary Draft, Pick 6), Meara Girvan (Supplementary Draft, Pick 10) and Darcie Davies (Northern Academy Priority Selection).

The 2023 NAB AFLW fixture is yet to be confirmed, but will begin on the first weekend of September.
