The Gold Coast SUNS has made one change to the team to face the Adelaide Crows at TIO Stadium in Darwin on Saturday night.

After coming on and impacting as the substitute in the win against the Bulldogs, Jy Farrar has been promoted into the starting 22, named in defence.

He replaces Mac Andrew, who has been omitted due to not meeting team standards during the week.

“Mac missed a recovery session on Sunday morning after the game against the Western Bulldogs, and while this, in isolation, is not a major issue, we believe Mac needs to understand the demands of playing AFL football,” GC SUNS General Manager of Football Performance Wayne Campbell said.

“Mac is a valued member of our football club. He has taken steps forward in learning what it takes to be an AFL footballer and we will continue to support and guide him through this.”

Farrar’s inclusion means the SUNS will have four players (Malcolm Rosas Jnr, Joel Jeffrey and Ben Long) with links to the Northern Territory lining up in the 22.

Listed as emergencies for the match are Brandon Ellis, Sam Day, James Tsitas and Bodhi Uwland, with one of those four to be named the substitute one hour prior to first bounce.

The match against Adelaide gets underway at 7:30pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo and the Seven Network (check your local guide).
