Another three goals from exciting key forward prospect Jed Walter has fired the Allies to a comprehensive 88-point win over Western Australia in Sunday’s Under 18 Championships clash at Thebarton Oval.

Fresh off a standout performance a week earlier against South Australia, SUNS Academy star Walter kicked the Allies first goal of the game, and the first of three for the Palm Beach Currumbin Lions teenager, as the Allies stamped their position as a genuine title contender with a 16.12 (108) to 2.8 (20) victory.

Walter again joined SUNS Academy counterparts Jake Rogers and Ethan Read in the side with Read once again boosting his draft stocks with a superb performance in the ruck, supplying strongly for an Allies midfield who proved far too strong for the West Australians.

Read had 21 disposals, 14 hit-outs and a goal himself.

The SUNS trio will return to action for the Allies on July 2, this time as the home side against Vic Metro at Brighton Homes Arena before finishing its National Championships campaign against Vic Country a week later in Victoria.
