Maddy Brancatisano’s impact in her first AFLW season at the Gold Coast SUNS has not gone unnoticed, taking out the club’s Most Professional award, presented by Kool Beanz SUNS.

The Most Professional award is voted on by the club’s AFLW staff on a 3, 2, 1 basis and encompasses all aspects of the program including football, education, operations, high performance, medical and media.

Brancatisano received the award from Season Seven winner and vice-captain Bess Keaney.

The 23-year-old merged seamlessly into her new surroundings after joining the SUNS from Richmond in the off-season, displaying professionalism across all areas in her pursuit of getting the best out of herself and her teammates.

She made her club debut in Round 1 and didn’t miss a beat throughout the 2023 campaign, playing all 11 matches and offering versatility in numerous roles.

Her Round 9 display against the Giants was arguably her finest, recording a career-high 19 disposals to go with her maiden goal.
