Qscan Injury Update: Semi Final
The Gold Coast SUNS have returned from the weekend’s Elimination Final with a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster QClash Semi Final at the Gabba.
The SUNS returned with no fresh injury concerns from the battle against the Dockers, with the possibility of injured duo Will Graham and Sam Clohesy also being available for selection this weekend against the Lions.
Both players have been sidelined for several weeks with hamstring and ankle concerns respectively.
Zak Evans also continues to progress in his recovery from a thumb injury sustained in the VFL, and is now only unavailable in the short term.

Qscan Injury Update: AFLW R5
Several SUNS are probable to return to action against Carlton this Saturday at Ikon Park.
After missing Round 4, Meara Girvan (concussion) and Charlie Rowbottom(shoulder) are hopeful to be available for selection on Thursday, while StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduate Tara Harrington edges one step closer to her long-awaited debut.
“Meara, Charlie and Tara will need to get through training this week before we can confirm their availability,” Gold Coast SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Jasmine Herlihy said.
After suffering an ankle injury that ruled her out of Round 4, Katie Lynch will aim to put her hand up for selection in the near future.
“Scans confirmed that Katie has a lateral ankle sprain which will see her unavailable for the short-term” Herlihy added.
Jamie Stanton and Nyalli Milne are also expected to miss several weeks after both sustaining ankle injuries in the Gold Coast’s 19-point-win over Greater Western Sydney.
In more positive news, Charlotte Wilson and Sienna McMullen are progressing well in recovery, with both their estimated returns reducing to short-term and medium-term respectively.
