The Gold Coast SUNS can provide an injury update on both AFL and AFLW squads ahead of this Saturday's Round 20 clash and AFLW Practice Match.
A number of StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduates are a chance to return to action this weekend.
Jake Rogers, Lachie Gulbin and Koby Coulson will all be pushing for selection in this Saturday’s match against Carlton.
SUNS midfielder Will Graham will be unavailable for the remainder of the season after suffering a shoulder injury in Round 18.
“After consulting with specialists, Will made the decision to undergo a left shoulder reconstruction which will sideline him for the rest of the season,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Andrew Weller said.
Experienced SUN Lachie Weller (hamstring) is progressing well in recovery and nearing a return.

AFLW Practice Match
Gold Coast SUNS fans will be excited to see several SUNS back in action this weekend against Carlton.
After being sidelined with an ACL injury in late 2024, Daisy D’Arcy is in contention to make her long-awaited return in the SUNS official practice match at People First Stadium on Saturday.
StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduate Heidi Talbot will also be available for selection. The young SUN has recently returned to training at full capacity since recovering from a shoulder injury that placed her on the inactive list ahead of her first season.
Elise Barwick also hit the track today. The SUNS utility will be eager to put her hand up for selection in the final match simulation against the Brisbane Lions next Sunday at People First Stadium.
“Elise completed her first full session today and got through all of her testing, which was a really positive step in her progression,” Gold Coast SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Angela Flack said.
"The aim now is to get a full week of training under her belt and be available for the final match simulation.”
Darcie Davies will be ruled out for the short-term with a low-grade hamstring strain that saw her miss last Saturday’s match against the GWS Giants. The SUNS ruck is targeting to be available for Round 1.
SUNS midfielder Maddy Brancatisano will be sidelined for several weeks after sustaining an ankle injury in a recent intra-club match.
“Maddy underwent surgery last week to repair a syndesmosis injury. She is recovering well and on track to return early in the season, ” Flack added.
