SUNS midfielder Lachie Weller will remain sidelined and unavailable for selection this Sunday against the Demons.
The 30-year-old continues to recover from a hamstring injury sustained in Round 13, but will be unavailable to take on the Demons at People First Stadium.
Elliot Himmelberg and Will Graham will be unavailable for the remainder of the season with knee and shoulder injuries respectively.
SUNS AFLW Vice-captain Charlie Rowbottom will be a test for this weekend’s match simulation against the Brisbane Lions.
The 22-year-old entered concussion protocols following a collision in the match simulation against the Giants earlier this month.
“Charlie reported symptoms following the match against the Giants and has since entered concussion protocols,” Gold Coast SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Angela Flack said.
“Her availability will be contingent on passing the final stage of concussion protocols this week.”
SUNS fans will be excited to see Elise Barwick back in action, with the utility available to put her hand up for selection this Sunday.
“Elise has progressed through her final stages of testing with no concerns and will be available for selection in the match simulation,” Flack added.
"It’s been pleasing to see her on the track this week building her confidence."
Cheer on the SUNS in the AFL/AFLW double header this Sunday. The AFL kicks off at 3:15pm followed by the AFLW at 6:20pm.
