The SUNS have made three changes to the team to take on Sydney this Saturday at the SCG.

Vice-captain Touk Miller will return after missing the match in Townsville with a corked quad.

He’s joined by fellow vice-captain Pearce Hanley who has overcome his own, more severe cork, which required surgery and held him out of action for six weeks.

Senior Coach Stuart Dew told the media on Thursday the pair would give the side a boost ahead of the away clash against the Swans.

“We’re excited to have those two back in the side,” Dew said.

“(They’ll give us) good decision making and strong leadership, both our vice-captains.”

“It’s fantastic for the side but also for them.”

SUNS Academy graduate Brad Scheer also comes in for his first game of the year after a pair of solid NEAFL performances since returning from a hand injury.

As reported earlier in the week by SUNS Media, Callum Ah Chee has been ruled out indefinitely with an ankle injury sustained at training on Tuesday.

Nick Holman also comes out of the side after managing back soreness during the week.

Midfielder George Horlin-Smith has been omitted and will play in the NEAFL.

Both the senior and NEAFL teams travel to Sydney this weekend, with the AFL match kicking off at 4:35pm on Saturday.
