While the conditions weren’t exactly apt for AFL Fantasy scoring in Adelaide for Round 9, a couple of SUNS still managed to compile impressive scores.

The team at SUNS Media have broken down some of the performances below:

Brayden Fiorini (MID - $765,000)

Fiorini had a field day in the wet, gathering 38 disposals, five tackles and a goal in his monster score of 144. His performance was enough to see him secure fifth place in the Round 9 rankings and become the seventh-highest averaging player in the league.

In his short career to date, Fiorini averages almost 100 at Metricon Stadium where he will play on Saturday night. He’ll come up against a hardened midfield in Geelong however, who he historically averages 85 points against. Fiorini is turning into one of the elite Fantasy scorers in the competition, and at just 1% ownership in Classic formats will be a huge point of difference moving forward.

Darcy Macpherson (FWD - $579,000)

Macpherson scored a back-to-back Fantasy ton on the weekend against Port. His round score of 100 was composed of 20 disposals, three marks and an impressive 12 tackles. His tackling is a huge component of his scoring and is helping boost his scores into the triple-figure range.

Macpherson has lifted his season average to 87 and is building some solid form playing a mix of midfield and forward roles. With a breakeven of just 63 in Fantasy Classic, Macpherson is projected to increase by a further $15k this week. In Draft formats, Macpherson’s ownership has increased from 54% to 63% since last week, and will increase further in the coming days leading into Round 10.
