Clarification on Gold Coast poster claims by Geelong Football Club.
The Gold Coast Football Club wishes to clarify a claim made today in a media release by the Geelong Football Club about a poster of Gary Ablett that appeared in the Gold Coast Bulletin. The poster in today's paper is an initiative of the Gold Coast Bulletin and not the Gold Coast Football Club.

The poster was an editorial initiative undertaken by the Gold Coast Bulletin. It was not generated by the Gold Coast Football Club, it was not paid for by the Gold Coast Football Club and the Gold Coast Football Club was not asked to participate in its publication.

I telephoned Geelong CEO Brian Cook today and advised we had no role in the production of the poster and that it was an editorial decision made by the Gold Coast Bulletin.

We think it is wonderful the Gold Coast Bulletin and the Gold Coast is firmly behind the Gold Coast Football Club being successful.
