Tackle Your Feelings has partnered with the Gold Coast SUNS & AFL Queensland to bring you the TYF program in May.

Tackle Your Feelings is a mental health training initiative designed for local footy clubs that strives to improve the understanding and awareness of mental health.

They do this by building skills within community coaches to foster an environment where athletes are supported to effectively manage their emotions.

TYF is a six-year project which launched in 2019 with 238 coaches from five states across the country undertaking the program, impacting more than 1800 local players.

If you're a community level Australian Rules coach, president or club member and want to build a better understanding of your players' mental health as well as your own, sign up to one of the two online sessions that will run for the AFLQ region on May 7 or May 20.

You can book into one of the Tackle Your Feelings online workshops by registering via Tackle Your Feelings Online (TYFO) or through CoachAFL.

Upon registering, complete the TYF mental health awareness module (approximately 15 minutes) before accessing the Coaches Box and selecting the workshop you wish to attend.

You'll then have access to podcasts, videos and blog posts from our experts, program ambassadors and other AFL Coaches including our SUNS Coaches.

The online workshops will run very similar to the face-to-face sessions that were delivered before COVID-19 restrictions and upon completion you will be directed to complete further learning via online modules.

We will have a local Psychologist deliver these workshops, who can be a point of contact for you and your club during these trying times.

We hope to see your face in a Tackle Your Feelings online workshop soon!
